LAST EDITED ON 09-Feb-01 AT 03:11 PM (EST)[p]I've searched up at a set of 3.54's for the Dana 60 in my 65 F250. Are there different sized carriers? I'm assuming I have a 4.10 set now and wondering if the 3.54's will fit.

More info: these gears are listed as Chevy Dana 60 gears. But they measure 9.75 across the ring. Dana 60 is Dana 60, right?

I believe that 4.10 and higher gears (lower numbers) use one carrier and 4.56 and lower (higher numbers) use another. So I think a 3.54 will swap with a 4.10. You can try their website at www.dana.com and they will answer questions by e-mail if you can't find it in the FAQ.

I was at Dana's site but the info seemed ambiguous. Or maybe I was just confused .... but I never thought to E-mail them. Good idea.

I will be finding out tho because I bought a set of 3.54's on E-Bay for a whopping $33.15! At that price they're at least worth a try.

Anybody got any backlash specs or advice in general? E-mailing Dana next!
