Last time I was into something that Deep I had to throw my shoes away.
It's the Yuppies, I tell you. The Rat Rod craze started as an "In your face" statement to the Gold Chainers over their high priced built for them vehicles.
They, The Yuppies" have decided that Rat Rods are "Cute" and are now paying 30K+ to have a "Name" build them one.
I guess your right, rust = Gold and now I'm a Billionare.
I think they need a new acronym (the Yuppies); since it means "young upwardly mobile professional"....they ain't so young anymore!! Regardless of that, Dick, the guys I see throwing cash around are in their 50's and 60's, I think it's US !!!!
I always enjoyed taking a good strong magnet to check a vehicle out for Bondo. You could just watch the seller getting nervous as the magnet lost it's grip. Now I understand that they were often just nervous about their GOLD.....
Yep ! Rust !
I bought a (rust free) slant cab on u-pay, drove 13 hours one way to pick it up.
as you can see in my gallery. All four cornners were gone as well as front mounts. On the bright side I do enjoy welding and grinding
It aint rust if you can't see it from the shiny side. Right! Kinda the same argument of old vs antique. "Just because it's old doesn't make it rusty" er something like that. I'm confused cuz I've been in Az so long I forgot what rust looks like. Yeh.
