The LED readout on my F350 Lariat is burned out. I have had it out and the LED/computer portion of it needs to be replaced as it is burned out. My local dealer says Ford will only sell the complete console for $500.00 (ouch!!). All I need is the plugin portion. I've checked my local junkyards with no luck. Looking for suggestions or source. Thanks for looking.
Try doing a search on repairing the console. Threre's a couple of users here who have been able to repair the circuit board with a couple of resister from Radio Shack.
I have seen both of these links , but nothing there fixes my problem. The LED display is burned out, the glass is all discolored and shows signs of overheating. I want the whole plugin.

That's what I thought when I first took mine out, but then I read several places that all the screens have the discolored spot on them in the upper left corner. It doesn't show it really well, but look at this picture: https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=99009&width=0
I had problems getting the resistors resoldered on mine, and wound up replacing them with Radio Shack resistors. Now mine works great.
On edit: If you're willing to pay the postage, I'd be willing to try to fix it for you. I had to buy a pack of 5 resistors when I fixed mine, so I have several spares.

Yet another example of FTE kindness. I'll be leaving some rep. points for you.

Good job clux, let us know if you fix it. Worth some points from me as well.
Well, no happy ending to this story. I got your computer in the mail today, the first thing I noticed was hat the screen was broken (missing s piece where the "burn" spot usually is): https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=24739
The second thing I noticed was that the two "usual suspect" 680 resistors behind the screen were completely missing. On the chance that it might work, I soldered replacement resistors in and tried it on my pickup, but no go.
I think that the resistors would have fixed it if the screen wasn't broken. If you want me to ship it back to you Big Sage, let me know.
