power steering problem
Hi guys!
I have a 91 Explorer with a steering problem. Last weekend I replaced the power steering pump with a new rebuilt one from AutoZone. It's worked just fine until onite driving home, as I tried to make a right turn, it got REAL stiff, like the engine had died. I gave it a little gas & it smoothed out the steering a bit - was able to complete my turn. It continued to act up the rest of the way home, but as I turned down our street, it worked fine, altho seemed a little stiff. It has no leaks, both hoses are new, and it doesn't make any noise. Anyone have any ideas?

After replacing the pump twice more, I think I finally got a good rebuilt one - at least it works properly, altho it makes some noise. Only needs to last another year, then it's GONE!
