When I run my a/c on the lowest blower setting sometimes you can feel the air coming out and sometimes you cant. And when you can't feel the air coming out it doesn't blow very strong on the higher settings either. This problem comes and goes. Anybody have any ideas what could cause this?
Do you have manual or electronic controlled A/C? Is your air cold when you feel it? Have you tried to feel air coming out in all the positions on the selector?
It is manual. The air is always cold-just not blowing. I have tried all positions and when I dont feel the air blowing on low I turn it up to a higher setting and I hear the blower but the air is not blowing out like it should. As I said before this problem comes and goes, It is usually when the air conditioner has been running for a while.
I had similar problem before. My problem was the **** is broken and doesn't rotate the shaft inside. My quick fix was to exchange the **** with one of the ones for the rear ac controller. For some reason, said broken **** works there, I guess the shaft is somewhat not as tight as the main controller, which after the swap works like a charm.
Hope this helps and hopefully, your problem is this simple since ac repair can mean mucho dinero most of the time.
Have your a/c system serviced/inspected. It almost sounds like maybe the coil is icing over on the low fan setting, which would slow or even block the air flow completely until it de-ices. Your freon may be low or the system may not be cycling off enough.
Your system is icing up. If you run it on the coldest setting with the fan speed on low sometimes it will ice up on you. Had my system do that once until I remembered what my grandpa told me. Had to adjust the temp to a warmer setting for a few minutes. It started blowing little chunks of ice out of the vents.
