How often should you test your SCA?

I have a 99.5 with the green coolant. I was wondering how often you should test the SCA level? I last checked it in February.

i would probably check it then. i dont know how long the sca lasts though. i checked mine in may and added some sca and i checked it last week and the sca was still good

I checked it and then added some of the additive but now it tests at 3.4 is this too high? Is there anything I can do to bring the levels back down to below 3.0?

You drain out some of the coolant and add more, without the SCA, to dilute the concentration.

Im going to change out my antifreeze before winter. I got an early 99. How many gallons and how much additive should i put it?

just go right to a ford dealer. it is the same price as everywhere else. online you can get the test strips and additive at www.dieselmanor.com i dont know if the dealership has the strips or not but they have the additive
