brake booster

hello,

my 97 F-150 with 5.4 triton and auto tranny has an air leak by the brake pedal
is that the brake booster? the brakes dont engage correctly so I'm assuming it is.

how hard is it to replace? any special tools needed?

Try to identify exactly what is leaking, ie, a vacuum hose or whatever.

The brake booster is under the hood. It's that large flattened object directly behind the master cyclinder.
