Chevy Frames

Has anybody else heard of the new Chevys having weak frames. I know of three right now in my hometown that have bent. One was on a new 2000 half-ton of my neighbors. He loaded 5 cattle into a 16 foot trailer onto his bumper and the bumper hit the ground. We thought it was just the cheesy factor bumper, nope the frame rails were bent at about 20 degree angles about a foot behind the spring perches. When i get my scanner back i scan you a picture so you will belive me. Another was on 3/4 ton HD with the new Duramax, But i cant really count it because he was drunk (moron) and run off the road, although he was only going about thirty. The last is the funniest. The local dealer was loading a new half-ton of the semi and slipped of the ramps with just one rear tire. Now you look at the truck on the lot and the body lines dont match. The bed sits up about an inch on the drivers side.
As for the diesel video, that video is b.s. How come the ford doesnt break the tires until about 3/4s of the way through. Ill tell you why they had to let the chevy get up momentum so when the ford started to pull all it could do was break the tires loose. You can not tell me the powerstroke didnt have enought power to break the tires loose from the start. The only way that chevy could have pulled that ford backwards from the start is if the ford was annihilating the tires from the start or if the ford was in a extremely high gear taking off.
Also, whats so great about the alison tranny. Its not built anything like the trannys in the Semis, and the ones in the semis have promblems too. One thing I will give GM is the finally pulled there head out of their ##### and said, Damn we better do something. I dont care ill take the Powerstoke anyday of the week even if chevy made a 1000 hp diesel with 2000 ft lb of torque. I dont now if going with the Isuzi was a good idea or not. I dont doubt it will last but I own a Nissan pickup and its like having a fat chick: It aint bad, but you aint proud of it and you buddys poke fun at ya.
One other thing since I probally wont be on here again for a little while. My brothers 98 Ford F150 SuperCab 4x4 w/5.4 beats my 99 Chevy regular cab w/5.3 hands down. Its my company truck and its a pile. My brothers 5.4, 19mpg on the road. That Chevy, 15 at best. And in a race the only way the Chevy will take the Ford is if it spins a lot on take of and if it doesnt it isnt even a comparison.

The new chevy's have 3 pc frames so the 2 spots that are rivited together are natural weak points. It's to be expected, I guess, from a "pretty boy" truck.

The frames are fine , thats an old wives tale you heard probably from a ford fan, a 3 piece frame ?I can't speak civillyare you thinking crawl under your truck and see how many piece your frame started as cuz i can tell you you got atlest a 5 piece frame all held together with rivets, look at your spring mounts on your rear leafs what are they held on with ? get back to me on the subject

I have crawled under my truck many times. That is a 1 piece frame with cross braces rivited on and boxed from the firewall forward. On GM's the frame rails themselves are in 3 separate pieces, that doesn't include the cross braces. The front piece holds the engine and front suspension, the rear piece holds the rear axle and the middle piece varies in length so they can adjust the wheelbase to accomadate extended cabs and long beds. This is a weak design. I've heard alot of Dodge boys complaining about their 2pc frame separating, I can't wait to see how many GM boys tear their trucks in two(or 3)pieces while workin them.

Those frames are junk. I've seen somebody ramp one through a ditch (barely getting any air) and when he landed, he'd bowed the frame behind the cab. My Ford has seen a lot more hell than that and it didn't harm the frame at all.
