honda radio code

i was working on a friend of mine's honda accord,2000, Ex. i pulled the neg battery terminal and now the radio is asking for a code. she just got the car about 3 months ago and she didn't get the code card. she bought it from a used car lot. is there any way to get the code without pulling the stereo to get a serial numbe off the unit. maybe from the dealer if i give the vin number?

thanks

keith

Go to a Honda dealer with the vin # and they should be able to pull up any information about the car on the spot. Do not let them talk you into paying for it like my Honda dealer did when trying to find the radio code for our 98 CR-V. I demanded to speak to the GM and was given t he code without delay.
