Had mine out when I was still in high school. They were going to mess up all the work the braces had done, so they had to come out. They took mine out in the hospital and I was right out for it so I did't feel a thing!!

Thats what I would have to do, either get so drunk and pass out and let them do it, or have to get put out.

I had mine out two at a time and it didn't give me any problems at all.

Four different times wow, I think I would want them to do it all at once so I could go home and have one big cry haha.

I'm lucky. Mine became part of my jawbones. They showed me exrays and they said they calcified into the bone and are not going to cause me any trouble. So I'm lucky there. Now the problem is to keep from getting all those cavity's.

I was getting headaches and had pains in my jaw and neck, Popped out the top two and felt better immediately. One had started to attach to my jaw bone and it hurt like hell getting pulled but was way worth it! Never ever figured the holes would ever heal up, there still there but don't feel so gross anymore.

Unhappy Help me gain courage! lol

Hey guys, I have to get my 4 big wisdoms out on Nov 3 and I am terrified out of my mind! I have never had any type of surgery before, never had a tooth pulled, never had a cavity or filling or anything. I want to get totally put under because I don't want to remember or feel a thing, but I heard from friends that you wake up feeling nauseated? Is that true? I hate needles too, so there is no way I could only get the freezing done.
I am surrounded by a whole bunch of other Health Care Practitioners everyday so I am constantly hearing horror stories of people getting Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ is basically where you get a screwed up jaw for almost the rest of your life) Where the surgeon will pry your jaw open too far when you are put under by accident and tear little muscles, tendons and ligaments. And when your jaw closes again, it settles in an awkward and detrimental position where it never goes back to normal and you need major treatment. I have also known people who have had other teeth chipped, parts of people's jaws have been missing after the removal.... just terrible things!

How long after the surgery can you eat normal food again?

Err I have never thought about if they yank your jaw too far open, not a pleasant thought.

Hi 32CoupeGirl, you need surgery to get the wisdom teeth out? Mine were just a straight pull, no surgery. As for feeling nauseated after my other surgery, no problem in my case.
