I just ordered a new F-250 SD Lariat SB, 6.0L. I ordered the 20" Polished Forged Wheels option. The sales guy said that I could not order the 20" wheels option without ordering the Chrome package. I am thinking that I was forced into buying the Chrome package when I did not have to. Has anyone else purchased te 20" wheels and were told they had to purchase the chrome package?
I would go to ford.com and build the vehicle there, to get a definite answer. If it says you can have the 20" wheels without the chrome package, I would print it out, take it back to the dealer, and tell them to remove the chrome package.
The truck is already being built and the dealer provided me the VIN number. Is it still feasible to push this issue with the dealer to try and change it under construction?
I have a 2006 F-350 CC Lariat 6.0 w/torqueshift & 20" wheels without the chrome package. 20" option was $1,030 and the chrome package would have been another $1,400.
Your same salesman probably convinced his mother that she needed the undercoating package!
