Hard Top

Is there a place that sales bolt kits or replacement screw sets for the hard top of the Broncos. I have a few that are stripped out and others that are ready to and would like to replace them all.

This is for a 1990 Bronco

Best bet is to get new bolts and speed nuts from a hardware store. If you take one of the nuts with you to get the right shape/depth only need 1-1.5 inch bolts regular hex heads are much easier to work with than the torx heads are.

They won't be on any Bronco built before 1992.

If your bolts are stripped - more than likely the speed nuts down the holes are stripped too. On the ones you can't replace you're better off to drill and tap them one size bigger. Then use a quality lube on them to prevent it from happening again.

Powedered graphite... it won't gum up the threads and retain dust and crud like a petroleum-based lubricant will.

You can also try searching a junk yard. I found some for my 88 at the junk yard because the body shop lost some. I think they charged me $4 for 10 of them. I got extra just incase.
