ABS Test
Recently my abs light cam on along with my emergency brake light.
After doing some research and searching the forum, I havent really been able to pinpoint the testing.
I read in the haynes manual about a test i can perform with the black/orange wire, but i can figure out what all i need to do with it. It says to unplug one wire and run a jump wire. The orange/black wire isnt plugged into anything its just sitting there so i didnt know if its supposed to be like that or not. From what i understand, all i need to do is run a wire to the black/orange wire and start the truck and ground it for a couple secounds and it will blink the codes. Is it that easy?
Also in the past i have been able to move the float in the master cylinder reevour and the lights will turn off. Not working now. Is there a way to clean the resevor? I new resevoir is 40 bucks from ford. Any suggestions on getting a clean one some where else? Also will i need to bleed the brakes if i can clean the resevour?
My front suspension sags so the alignment shop can only align it so much so my wheels get worn at a slight angle. Say all this to say i rotated the tires a week or so ago. Then the lights came on. Would this effect the lights turning on.
