I'm not sure if you'll be able to bolt the toploader right up but the highway drivability will not change both trannys have a 1:1 ratio in 4th. If you want to lower your RPM range you need to go to a higher rear end gear ratio. You probably have 389:1 gears now 323:1 will give you better highway mileage and speed. I hope this helps.
