How much do I ask!?!?!

I have a NICE '86 F-250 6.9L Diesel truck, it is a 3-speed automatic 2WD it has a 4.11 full floating rear end, new tires, new brakes, new front ranch hand style bumper, new air conditioning system, new fuel lines outfitted for biodiesel, new side mirrors, new ignition system, new injection pump, all wires have been replaced from the front of the truck all the way to the rear, it has a bed liner in it with chrome bed rails, everything works flawlessly on this truck. It uses a little oil, but what 6.9L doesnt. The truck still has alot of power and runs down the road straight as an arrow. It has 138K original miles and it has been babied its whole life. The paint is flaking in spots, but there are no rust spots on the truck. I live in Texas and I have NO idea what to ask for this truck, I need money for college and have to sell her. I had no clue what to ask for her or what she is worth, I was hoping you guys that knew these trucks a little better could fill me in on their value and what they are going for around here these days. If you have any more questions about the truck or want pictures then please e-mail me at roadbike21@hotmail.com, thanks in advance I throughly enjoy this forum and I know you guys will help me get the right money for this amazing truck. thanks

I forgot to mention that i have ANOTHER '86 f-250 but this one is extended cab and the engine has gone bad but i have been using it as a parts truck, it has a 4-speed manual transmission and then it stil has the engine to rob parts off of as they go out on the other truck so it has been a great thing to have, i also have two spare injection pumps that i want to sell with both of these trucks. So what on earth do I ask for both of the trucks and the two injection pumps. THANKS again for all your help.

If the body and interior are in good condition I would ask for about $US 5,000.

If the body and interior are marginal then it will be a tough sell given the age of the truck. Nobody else knows the true value of this truck more than you do. Ask what you think its worth and see if you get some interest.

Seb...

Just thought I'd list the price on the trucks I've purchased in the last couple years.
89 F-250 4wd 7.3l 5spd 190000 miles $1300
89 F-superduty 7.3l 5spd 170000 miles dump truck $2800
90 F-superduty 7.3l 5spd 120000 miles 12' flatbed $1500
92 F-250 4wd 7.3l auto 150000 miles $2995 from Ford dealership
96 F-250 4wd 7.3l turbo auto 130000 $2900 from Ford dealership
89 F-350 ambulance 7.3l auto 135000 $2850 from dealer
91 F-250 351 auto 2wd 160000 $900 from Texas
So "I" think $5000 for your truck is very high. Unless its in like new condition. Prices must be a lot higher in Texas than WI.

yeah looks like you could buy your trucks there in WI and then bring them down here and sell them for good profit
