Another user question
I hope I am posting in the right place, if not please steer me in the right direction. That being said, I have a serious want for an Expedition, preferably an 06 with a ton of rebates and goodies. I have been doing some research, being patient and trying to do some initial negotiations with some local dealers. Does anyone have a copy of the real dealer invoice for an 06 Expedition? I don't really want one of those pieces of crap they show you to convince you that you are getting the deal for "cost", but a authentic dealer invoice to base my offers and negotiations on. Any help will be appreciated. With the 5000 cash back plus the extra 2006 cash back from the latest commercial, I think an accurate figure to use with over 7k in rebates may get one of these babies in my driveway. Thanks to all who help, great site here.
Have a good one,

forum titled "Prices Paid and Buying Experiences" for your make and model of vehicle. In this forum, people tell what they actually paid for their vehicles. Once you have this information, you are looking down the dealer's throat! Remember that his "invoice" price is 2-3% more than what he paid the factory. Once you know what the vehicle cost the dealer, add whatever profit you want him to make and make an offer. If he doesnt take it, be prepared to walk.
Happy hunting!
I bought my '06 in May and got the $7K in factory discounts. Eddie Bauer with climate seats, NAV, DVD, and other options. $44K sticker, I got her for $27.5. It was a demo with 6K miles on it, hence the low sales price. However, I was going back and forth between two dealers. I told dealer B that dealer A was going down to $31K, drive out (w/ TTL and I owed $2K more on my '01 Expy EB than they were willing to give). I didn't bother telling dealer B that that the car dealer A was offering was a demo. I was working directly with the sales/fleet manager at dealer B and he was visably pissed that dealer A was giving away the car for that price. He actually went so far as to tell me that he doubted the car dealer A was offering really existed, although I had already driven it several times. The best dealler B would do was $33K+TTL. All of this happened over several days. The only way you are going to get any deal is to walk out of the dealership at least twice and make sure they know you're in no hurry.
