Which transfer case do I have?
This is my first post on this forum. FTE forums are great!
I have a 1985 F-150, 4sp with granny low, and a 5.0. I don't know what transfer case I have. I need to know because it slips out of gear down the highway, espescially when i let off the gas.
If I have an NP-205, is it possible to replace it with an NP-205 from an automatic? Or is it easier to fix the problem with my current transfer case? I don't know much about these but from reading other threads, you guys are quite knowledgeable...thanks for your time!

The transfer case should have a tag with model number.
