Recent mod plus 2 more to come!!!

The truck started out in sad shape when I got my hands on it ... I have spent many hours and have got it to a more respectable point:

Well now I have 3 more mods to add to my list...

1)

4 of theses.... already installed, just no pics yet.....:

the next mod is one in progress....

2)

picked this truck up tonight:

Will be changing over the good body bits and interior stuff.... that will make it much nicer.... 92-96 clip, chrome bumpers, clean doors, power windows and locks.... tailgate... I am also getting a powerstroke chrome bumper too... this is a gas truck, but I am willing to fab the rad support to work with my diesel rad.....

3)

have 4" pipe ready for a 4" straight pipe exhaust!!!! heheheh... that will sound awsome!!!

still planning the D60 front diff swap and a 5 speed when I find them too.... am in no rush to do these, but it will come as time and parts permit....

Cheers!
Bob

Bob,

Where did you get the rims and how much? With a lot of the rims now outdated as the newer trucks use a metric bolt pattern I always wonder if there is not a set out there for me waiting to be picked up cheaply.

Sebastian from Ladner....

Good luck on the cheaply, as the supply of parts dwindle, the prices usually reflect the lack of availability.

I will drop by and let them know to keep an eye out for some rims for me.

I am not one to spend money on stuff like that unless there is a bargain to be had.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather.

Hey Seb... I dont think they deal much in used....

I was also on all kinds of places and a good 16x8 or x10 in an 8 lug was REALLY hard to come by....

I am making good progress with this... looks like I will be off this weekend to pick up a king pin 60 front diff too..... now all I need is my ZF and im set!!!

Oh well,

The good news about guys going to custom rims for me was that I picked up some some factory rims real cheap as there seem to be lots available. This allows me to keep some spares on rims which I can run on the front and then buy new tires for the rear.

Usually the rear end on these trucks gets pretty loose when the rains start right about this time of year so it pays to always have a near new set in the back.

Here are the updated pics from this

Now have 315/75/R16 Pro Comp Extreme ATs on my Eagle rims... 88 King Pin D60 front diff, F350 rear lift blocks ( not shown in thses pics ) and 1992 front clip with 1997 powerstroke bumper...

Will still be swaping over doors and such from donor 1992 truck, but its a good start so far... Just too bad the colours dont match!!!
