Interminent gear loss

This is probably an old question, but I have yet to find an answer. I have a 1998 F-150 XLT and she drives fine until the tranny fluid gets to operating temperature. Then I just lose all of my gears until my tranny fluid cools back down. My OD light does come on after about 10-15 minutes of driving and continually blinks. My thought is that it is the Vehicle speed sensor, but my instincts are not always dead on.....LOL. Anybody had this same problem are know someone that has dealt with this? All help is appreciated.

The only way to know is to read the code that was stored when the OD light flashed. Without the code all you can do is throw parts at it until you get lucky and hit the bad one.
