Transmission

i have a 1997 psd with the e40d trans and it only a year old now, old one blew up, i have a chip a full exhaust and i drive it spiritedly, btu only once and a while, recently i cant go from one side of the town to the other with out it not wanting to shift fro first to second leaving a stop light, its fine when i first start driving and no matter how hard i push it it acts fine, but once ive been driving for 5-10 minutes it starts to slip and not want to shift under load, in my opinion its over heating so i ordered a trans cooler with 300 cfm electric fan on it, a shift line pressure increase kit from BD, and a trans temp gauge, am i on the right track? any suggestions would help

Did you check for any codes? ABS light on? OD light blinking? How does the fluid smell and look? Is the trans stock?

I hope you have a warranty on the last rebuild. Your tranny is doing what mine did just before it went south. Do what trike1946 says/asks, get it scanned even if there are no warning lights on. MOst tranny shops will do it for free.
