Subs in 2007 CC

I have a 2007 F350 CC and I am wanting to put a sub behind the rear seat. I am looking at a 12" Pioneer Shallow mount sub that wants 350 W RMS, so I am going to need a pretty good size amp. I was just curious where people are installing the amps for their subs. I am thinking about putting it under the drivers seat, but it's going to be a close fit with the bracket to move the seat forward and back. Thanks in advance for the help!

Rear wall is going to be the best place as far as cooling goes.... underseat isn't a good idea.

Just use the other side under your rear window power slide motor. You have to take the carpeting off, but you can't see it anyway w/ the seat up.

I've got a 2 amp setup w/ a 2 frd capacitor back there.... i'll try for pics tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice. I was actually kicking around that idea too. How did you mount the amp to the rear wall of the truck?

Arrow My way . . .

For the main HU amp I cut a board to fit the amp and the rear wall, (behind the larger drivers seat) as far as I could to the door, carpeted the top side too.

Then I used a high grade silicon to stick it to the rear wall after cleaning the rear wall to the metal & screwing in the amp to the wood. The sub amp was mounted on the floor below this unit to drive the sub.

It has been a year and all is well. I used a 10' kicker stock box for my sub.

I used 4 regular sheet metal screws... drilled some small pilot holes right through the body.

Before the install I laid down 1 layer of the Dynamat Extreme... then mounted the amps right on top of it.

The stuff is REALLY really tacky so it gave the screws a good thread seal on the way in... never a drop of water back there.
