Hey folks,
This may not be the right area, so I'll apologize up front.
Has anyone just done away with body trim (door strips and fender trim) rather than replacing it when tidying up???

I've got to remove mine to take care of a little rust and one door has a dent that bent the trim. I was thinking to just leave it off and get rid of the mounting **** (lack of better words). My thought is that having nothing is better than having something that looks rough. Sometimes my thoughts get me in trouble though and there'd be no turning back in this case. Just don't want to look too goofy.

Any of you done anything creative???
