Start and quit
New twist, this morning truck would start after glow plug cycle, get up to about idle, then quit. Did this about 4 times, checked for air at schrader valve, nothing but fuel pressure. 3 or 4 attemts results the same. Start right away then quit. Once started no further problems so far today, but didn't seem to be adavanced or high idle. I suspect the temp switch is toast, but now the truck is warm, wont be able to check it till tomorrow morning. Does this starting symptom sound consistant with a bad temp switch when cold? Thanks

It's usually caused from air leaks in the return lines letting fuel syphon out of the fuel filter/pump. To test it, find some hose pinching pliers and pinch the small line that goes from the filter to the injector return lines/caps.
