I have decided to stay with a rebuilt I-6 300 for my bronco. I like the long lasting durability of that motor. The question is now.....will a rebuilt I-6 from the years 1985-86 be swappable with my I-6 from a 1980 bronco, if so will there be anyone who would know if there would be any modifications or conversions necessary???

Reason: missed info
check out cliffordperformance and also the 300-6 forum on here. those year motors should work just fine. good idea sticking with that motor. wish my bko had the 300-6
If they are both carbed and have a place for the fuel pump then they should work. I don't think there is any difference in 80-86 300's but check the 300 six forum just incase I'm wrong.
