exhaust pressur

has anyone replaced the exhaust pressure sensor tube?

i noticed that the tube is boke off right at the right side manifold

any suggestions, it looks like it rusted good on it

the truck has 110k

I replaced mine about 4 months ago. I had to buy it at the Stealership as it is a Ford only part. I think it was about $40 (which is crazy), but you should replace it.

the Exhaust Backpressure Sensor is one of the vital sensors needed in the engine control system that to the engine run correctly and efficiently. the tube just moves the sensor far away enough to put it in a convenient place,and also away from the heat of the exhaust manifold, or the epoxy in the computer board in the sensor would melt. one end of the tube connects to the manifold like you said, and the other end connects to the sensor, and the tube snakes around the front of the engine block, almost dead center in front of the HPOP reservoir, and an inch or two behind the serpentine belt.

ok cool
i just ordered it

but the only thing it looks like it is badly rusted on

i guess i will run the engine to get it hot to remove it, i just dont want it to break offf in the manifold
