351 oil pressure

i have a 1988 f-150 with 75k mi 5.8 l efi and the oil pressure reads between low---and normal.....is there something wrong..do i need a oil pump..?

I think the factory gauges are just switches and aren't very acurate. Do you hear horrible clicking/knocking noises at any time during idle or acceleration?

If readings dont really change from cold to normal running temp, shouldnt be a problem.

Go buy a cheap mechanical gauge, usually about $10.00, and hook it up. Get some some readings, hot/cold, idle/cruise. My 351W with 95,000K runs 35# hot idle and 65# at highway speed. Good luck.
