Edge evolution question

Im new to the forum and after much research i have a question i cannot find the answer to. Im looking into the edge evolution. My question is, do i always have to run the display? or can i plug it in, program what i want, and then unplug it. I really dont want that thing sitting on my dash. Just not my style.

Thanks

Luke

about the edge man, it's really up to u, you don't need to leave it plug in, but you got to remember set it to default before you bring it to the dealer....also edge is not only a programmer but gages also with monitoring system, it could alert you if your system is having problem or when it reached your preset limits or your own limits.......but as i said it's really up to you if you want to unplug it.....it will still work...

it has preset settings, now you can always modify it, but be careful bro's, if you don't the limit numbers don't do it just for safety precautions, the settings that the edge guys did is already pretty good ... hope this help!!!

If you dont like the display, then why settle for the canned tuning? You can get an Xcalibrator 2 with custom tunes written for your truck. It doesnt have a display, just plugs in, programs, unplugs and youre done. It also reads and clears check engine lights and datalogs. Thats what I run on my truck.

You can leave it in the truck without mounting it on the dash - say, run it into the ash tray or something. That way you can check on it, but only you know where it is.
