front shock help

hey everyone. first off i will say that this site rocks..so with that said. i bought an 95f150 sc.longbed 351. with a tow pkg 4x4. the reason i bought the truck is i needed it to tow a 25' camper and also a honda 400ex quad. and also for gp. so far i have added and electric brake, factory crome rims and bumber. and new front and rear shocks. first the rears. i bought the monore sensatrac hd coilovers. seem to be very good shocks. the truck doesnt even squat with the camper hooked up. seem great so far. although the truck did have severe squat with the truck stuffed with wet fire wood. i mean as much as i could get it the 8 foot bed.and the wood was soaked from days of rain. so i replaced the fronts today. with monore sensatrac shocks. and i must say i am not impressed. truck seems to sit a just a little higher. although i am not able to tell with a visual. but only by sitting in the truck. turning is improved also so it seems.no so much body lean. but braking is not good. the truck seems to have a lot of braking dive. did i make a bad choice or could it be my coils. also my truck doesnt have the quad shock setup hope that helps. thanks

Shocks won't help a truck sit any higher. They just dampen bumps. The coils don't usually wear out too bad but if your truck has well over 150,000 miles you might could get a new set because they could have sagged a little.

Ford Trucks were built to have alot of give in the rear Leaf Springs when hauling or pulling large ammounts of weight. So it's no always bad when you get that "squat." But, you might consider getting new springs since you are pushing 200,000 miles. If and when you do, because you will have to adventually, consider getting Overload Leaf Springs. It wont make much of a difference with a ATV but you wont get that bogging feeling when hauling wet wood.

Find a company that makes NEW coils not ones out of junkyard. They could be just as wore out as yours!
