56 door gap adjustment
I think I know , but ... to raise the doors straight up on my 56 , do I loosen the bolts that hold the hinges to the cab ? The ones that hold the doors to the hinges are for front to rear , or horizontal movement , while the hinge to cab bolts are up & down , or vertical movement , right? Both doors need to go up about one sixteenth of an inch . Thanks

Basically, you are correct. However, the hinge to door adjustment could also give you an adjustment that small. The hinge to door attachments are for the door to be maneuvered up/down and fore/aft in the opening. The hinge-to-cab adjustment is for up/down and in/out adjustments, including tilting the upper edge in or out.
