Dave, I'm not sure how to answer, but in 66 you could get a dealer installed under the dash AC unit.It was several years later before Ford installed dash ducted AC units.

According to my master parts book, a factory kit was available for F-100-350 starting in 1963. Several part exclusions are listed, mostly for the heavy duty models. A total of 2 seperate kits needed to be ordered, one was engine components, the other was the evaporator and condensor kit. The 300 6cyl DID NOT have a factory ford A/C kit number until 1968, but I'm sure the 240 kit would have probally worked. If anyone wants part numbers or more info, email me at jta1986(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
I saw one the other day in Texarkana, a friend bought 2 una-bodies and I went to help him pick them up, the guy we got them from had a 66 with the dealer installed air unit, that his father bought brand new. It tucked way under the dash, almost in the floorboard, and I think it had 3 vents where the air came out, he also said it would run you out of the truck it worked so good
