well I finally brought her to raceway park NJ. and got her all polished up and ready to run...then it rained...we polished them up again and finally ran our trucks. My 97 f250 extended cab 4x4 ran a 17.2 with a tymar style intake, superchip on lowest setting, and a 3-3.5" dp and deleted cat. she wasnt no where near the 6.0's or LB7's but I had a fun time. I also gained bragging rights, I beat my buddy's 00 f350 crewcab 6 speed with an intake, 5" exhaust and superchip on highest setting. While I was down there I was talking to a guy with a 2000 f350 and he said theres a longer fuel pressure spring that will give you like 10# more fuel pressure...he showed me where it goes in but i forget the name. plus she smokes a little bit more too. any way, does anyone know if that can be done to ours? thanks in advance
hey thanks for the info...I looked it up and everyone has checked their fp BEFORE they did anything..I guess thats where Ill start...thanks again for the info!!
Don't be surprised when your FP gage is bouncing from 55 to 75 PSI. You kinda guess at the average reading. The important part is when you see the bouncing go higher after the BB is put in. 70-75 PSI avg is the general consenses around here.
oh ok..i was lookin at jegs' website, and I found liquid filled guages that have a 1/8 npt male fitting on it..will this work on my trucky? also I was snooping around and where you put the shim at, there is what looks like a mini spark boot and a wire leading in it. Is this where I connect the guage?
