I have a stock 65 with a 352 that has been garaged for the past year. I started it up about once a month. Before it was garaged it ran really smoothly. Now it runs smoothly, up until it warms up, and then the lifters knock like crazy. Any ideas or suggestions?
I would check the oil pressure with a mechanical guage to see what the oil pressure is doing, and maybe change the oil and filter. Since I dont know how long or rpm this has been run at, I can only guess as to what to do.
I've changed the oil and filter. It happened before and after I changed the oil. After it warms up, it knocks at any rpm. When increasing rpm, the knocking speeds up. I haven't checked the oil pressure yet.
Steve try spraying some Marvels Myster oil into each spark plug hole, dribble some in the carb with the eggine runnig, and pour the rest in the crank case. I hope this will help, and it sure wont hurt anything. MMO is great stuff.

In the cool still quite of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
If you're sure it's the lifters...
Remove a valve cover and run the engine. You should get a lot of oil, all over. If you don't, you've got a different problem.
