YUP, it's time to change the wires, if you have 47K ohms in a 10'' wire. Thats too much resistance (30K ohms max) & will adversly affect the spark, make it weaker than it should be & maybe cause it to blow out on a hard pull, ect, ect. It'll also unbalance the ignition system, as it isn't designed to operate with that kind of resistance.
SO running spark plug wires with out of spec resistance, isn't a kindly thing to do to the system, as it'll put stesses in other places, where they aren't designed for & don't belong!!!!
