A/C control swap

Is the auto climate control of the Lariat a direct swap for the standard controls? I know the bezel is different, but I'm mainly wondering about the connections. Any known problems with swapping these parts?

TIA (thanks in advance)

It is a huge PITA!!! I did a bunch of research on it since I was thinking of doing the same thing. You have to mount a temp sensor inthe truck and run the wires for that, the wiring harness "may" be different depending on the truck, and also the auto climate control needs the PCM to work. Some of this is what I found out and some it from others on another F150 site. Once I heard PCM, I just dropped it......

I knew there had to be a thermostat, but figured it would be in the unit. Changing the PCM makes it a non-starter.

thanks guys.
