SCT Tuner
speedo was non adjustable like claimed, rev limit was non adjustable like i was told, same with tranny shift points and line pressures, not to mention the shifting was terrbile, it was a harsh bang, not a nice firm shift like you would expect, the downshifts could be felt, specifically the 3-2 downshift when slowing to a stop with the brakes applied, the truck would chirp the tires and the abs was felt in the brake pedal.
i called sct tech and went through all the troublehsooting hoops and they said they wanted to work with me and get teh programmign right, but i did not feel like shipping back and forth so i just had my money refunded
the only thing i liked and miss abhotu the tuner is it took the "traction control" off in 1st and second gear so the truck was at full throttle in 1st and 2nd unlike the factory settings
im ready for a good tuner for the 3v v-10...i really miss the full power in 1st and 2nd gear, that was a huge seat of the pants difference, it owudl actually roast the tires for a while from a dead stop in 1st
What about top speed limiter? Could you turn that off?
I also have a 2v V-10 that I put a hypertech tuner on, I was not impressed with the shift points on that one either.
Did if feel like the SCT gave it any extra power like it claims or does it leave the tuning alone?
the only extra power i could feel was the torqu limiting programming being gone
captchas has had good luck with his xcalII but thats because he has custom prgramming, out of the box they are horrible
