I posted some pictures in my gallery showing my Jaguar subrame install on my 48 F-1. There's still some work left, upper shock mounts and such, but for the most part, it's in. Pretty darn simple. I'll post more as I complete it. Thanks to Bill Jones, 49willard, who called me from his sailboat to answer questions. I never got to thank him in personaly, his cell phone quit just after he told one of his crew to watch out for that bridge. You're ok, right?-Rusty.
Congratulations! Your installation looks good. Hopefully others out there can see how straight forward the installation is. Let me Know what you decide on for headers. I could use the bent rams horn that I have but that is a 2" rather than 2 1/2 inch which I would prefer. Do you plan to use the original Z joint?
PS We cleared the bridge just fine!
Bill, I do have the z joint, but I'm going to try the telescoping shaft that borgeson makes, if it fits. As far as headers, I emailed sanderson headers with my problem. They have one that is only 6" tall on their web site, which I think will work, but they haven't responded yet. It looks like hedman also makes a shorty block hugger, but same deal, no response yet. I'm going to tackle shock mounts soon, looks pretty easy. Btw, monroe makes the jag shock in the sensatrac line. My cost is about $37 each.
