'66 F-100 rear wheel bearing

I have a rear wheel bearing that started to howl on me this weekend and was wondering, since i'm not experienced with replacing the bearing myself, is this something i could have done at my local garage? and if so, what should i expect to pay? Thanks for the replys.

You need a hyd. press to remove the old bearings from the axle shaft and press on a new bearing(inner race). I took my axle shafts to a local auto store, bought the bearings from them and they pressed on the new bearing for no charge. Most places charge a few bucks set up for the press. My 9" rear does not have any c-clips holding the axle shafts in, so they just pull out once the outer retaining place is removed. I used a slide hammer to remove the inside grease seal and outer race from the axle housing and carefully installed the new seal and outer race the same way.
