big bang

Hey guys, I've got a 71 bronco, with a C-4 that was freshly rebuilt not to long ago, with the rebuilt i had them install a manual valve body. well the other day i take off from a light and shifted it hard at 5k rpm and it made a big bang and came to a stop, now the only gear i have is park, the truck still runs fine, I pulled the tranny out and the input shaft wasn't broken nor was the fluid burnt, there wern't even a metal shaving in the pan. So now i am stuck, what could of happened and how can i fix it?

Thank you

Well after the bang, I tried, putting it in 4x4 and it still wouldn't move, So thats why i'm thinking its the trans, Any other input would be great.
