Just though you might like to know. I rebuilt the 240 i6 engine on my 66 F100 and started her up yesterday using 66ranger's specs. After priming the oil pump and cranking the engine without spark until the oil light went off, I connected the coil and fired her up. She started with the first turn and immediately settled in to a smooth idle. After rebuilding many engines on many vehicles this is the first time I've had it this easy. What a pleasure this truck is. I think the carb rebuild and all new consumables helped a little.

Congrats! I know the pleasure. I completed this same project on my 66 I240 18 mos. ago. We have 3,000 miles on the [link:http://hometown.aol.com/tbeeee/page/Rebuild.html|Rebuild]. I think JOWILKER will vouch that I did a fair job.
