So you can take you car from Kiribati to Malta, but you may have some troubles if you head over to Vanuatu.

I can't tell you how many times I've needed that info.

the best thing i've seen was years ago when my dad had his 77 chevy scottsdale, dual tanks one on each side. pulled up right in the middle, got one pump going in one tank, go over to the other side and start another pump into the other tank.

this was his way of fixing the annoying problem of filling one tank, turning the truck around and then filling the other.

although when you wernt looking to fill both tanks you could just pull up to whatever pump was open on whatever side and be ready to go.

gotta miss the good old days when you could fill 2 empty tanks, pay with 2 twentys and get change back.

Ever run out of gas?

If you ever run out of gas you'll appreciate the fuel filler on the passenger side. Getting hit by a semi while trying to transfer fuel from a gas can into your car isn't the best way to go.

Of course, this problem can be eliminated by not running out of gas...

what I've noticed on this subject is that "Most" trucks that I've driven have the fuel door on the drivers side while "Most" cars I've driven have them on the pass side........... I really hate driving cars cause i'm too used to the truck and will wait in line just to get to the pump and realize I'm on the wrong side

The icon is a left over from when they were putting door sensors on vehicals. Had crown vic that had a light when door was left open guess was so wouldn't drive around spreading gas if left cap off. On F150 it was never used You can't even see it on any of the trucks I drive (10+ of them )unless in right light. I read about this same question in tect forum of 90's magizine. But I used to Get so many a month I can't say what one it was.
