PMS strikes yet again!

For those that don't know, PMS is Powerstroke Mod Syndrome. You can see what it's done to me thus far from my signature.

Yesterday it forced, yeah it did, me to buy Beans Stage II injectors, a Long Island Performance Diesel Return Regulated Fuel System, ARP Head Studs and new Ford Head Gaskets. I called my buddy at his shop and told him to have us a bay open in three weeks and we're gonna 'see what this somgun' 'l do!'.

Hahahahaha. Wish me luck. Only thing left for the engine then will be Crower Connecting Rods to beef the lower end and a new Turbo. I'm thinkin' 66-70mm!!

Also, I'm dumping the Edge stuff and getting an SCT tuner and cutom tunes to utilize those injectors.

I'm betting on low 12's with the NOS kickin it.

Sounds like quite a project. How about taking some pics when you have it apart? You may not want to get your camera greasy, but I think a few people on here would like to see some pics of the operation if you have a chance.

I'll take as much as I can. I expect my buddy to do most of the work as he thinks he can take the heads off without removing the body from the frame or pulling the engine. This is alot deeper project than I am comfortable with. So alot of it may get done while I'm at work, but I do plan on popping in and checking on things often. Especially since I can gauge the bill by checking how much blood is around and how red my buddies face is when I pop in. If it's real red, there probably won't be pictures for fear that the camera may be shoved somewhere I don't want it. lol

I think youre still gonna have to raise the body to get enough room to put the heads over the studs. How is it doing? Any more reoccurrences of the " incident"?

He thinks he might just jack the front up enough to get the room he needs. He's pretty spooked by the idea of lifting it way up in the air.

It's running fine. I've even set it up to level 6 on the Juice, level 2 on the EVO and had the NOS running and nothing. No problem at all. I really wish I knew what that pop was. Freaked me out pretty bad.

Just figured got $530 worth of bolts, might as well spend a bit more and really make this pig kick. Besides, I'm addicted now!!

the heads barely make it off with the body on. BARELY!! body come up or the engine comes out if you use studs.

It really isnt that hard to pop the cab off if you use a 2 post lift. If you take it loose enough to raise it a little, youre almost there anyway.

Your pop might have been nitrous induced heart burn--these trucks will backfire quite violently if extra "fuel additives" are used. I know NO2 is an oxidizer not fuel, but it's the other 1/3 of the equation.

Possible. This is my 15th fill up of the bottle and it's never done that before. Also, I was off the juice about a minute before it did it. I don't know, but it's doing alright at the moment and we're tearin it down pretty good in a while and will look everything over very carefully then.
