Had I known...

I wouldn't have so happily taken a torch to the rear fender bolts when I removed the fenders oh so long ago. What holds those suckers to the bed sides, Kryptonite? What's the best way to remove rear fender bolts from the bed sides on a 50 F1?
Thanks
Lance

THey're pinch welded to the sides. They sit in a square hole. They are hard to remove without distorting the sides. Look thru the archives for this subject, it's been discussed many times.

If it's any consolation, they would probably broken off anyway. I had good luck drilling thru them from the inside and using a plain hex bolt.

I ground the heads off of mine (Very carefully). As stated above, almost all broke off when I tried to remove the nut.
