I'm still alive!

hey guys,

long time no post. I'm going thru the big D, but it's going well. I've flopped out of the frying pan and into the fire, so to speak. the fire being a 23 year old girlfriend :-) So, she's taking up most of the truck time. And it's time well spent :-) When she's not around, I'm usually at the lake. It's hard being me! Eventually I'll get around to wrenching on the old truck and getting back to the track to get the low 13 or high 12s time-slip. To refresh your memory, I ran 13.5s on the last pass and I've got the following improvments still available to me: 50 more hp on the NOS, shift kit for the C6 and performing a burnout on the MT ET street tires (i've yet to warm up the tires to improve the 60ft time).

Any exciting developments here? Have we heard from Russ (rapidruss) or Sean (ratsmoker) lately?

long lost FE brother,
greg

Now you have to train your new Girly friend RIGHT Greg !! It all about shop and beer time!! Yeah have to drag her into your world...and then once a month take her out for a nice dinner and dancing!!! LOL..

Glad to hear your OK, Greg! Well, better than OK with a 23-year-old girlfriend...

Haven't heard from Ratsmoker/Sean in a LONG LONG TIME... His last activity here on this site was back in February, 2006.

Matter of fact, because he hasn't been around, I asked to be moderator here in FE-land because there was no one else... not that I've had to do a whole bunch, these guys could teach those Superduty kiddies a thing or two about civility.

I've been trying to find that gauge cluster, to see how you did it. I remember looking several months ago, but couldn't remember who it was.

Now I know that I'm just going to mod my current dash. pic in my gallery. I'll put in the metal plate or plexiglass and paint it all black, but it will have the original 'flare'.

Good to hear from you!

Gee, it sure sounds hard being you. Lets see, 23 year old GF, lake, truck... what could be better?

Now go out and get that shift kit in there!

It's Haneline panel and includes Teleflex gauges offered from haneline.com

Fire is when she tells you mother nature skipped her this month. Then you'll be talking about lifestyle changes, the toys you used to have. It's a whole new day, be careful.

FWIW: Several weeks ago I ran the name in Ratsmoker's gallery through a database of sandbox fatalities: He was not there.

Hey greg glad to hear you still alive and seem tobe doing pretty good. need to let me know when you want to got the track. I've got my truck up and going. Ran a low 13's first time out but had to much gear fot the high stall i am running, but have changed that and hoped to make another run later this month. Actually my best time so far is a 13.15 at 99mph All engine!! but I wieght alot less than you. Hopefully we can get together one friday night at the track!! Oh I broke one of my traction bars also so only made three passes.

Polcat, I'll be sure to post in here when I'm ready to hit the track again. Although, I typically do Wed. nights in San Antonio.
