Anyone remember the day when the twin towers came down? Remember where you were and what you were doing? Seems like only yesterday but it was five years ago.
I was standing in line at the bank when I first heard the news. They hauled tvs out and everyone was watching, that was when the second plane hit and then they knew it was a terrorist attack. Up til that time they did not know for sure. I also watched when the towers came down. It was one of those days that will stay with you for the rest of my life. You know one of those things what were you doing when this happened.
I called in to work sick that day. Went on my computer on irc and turned the tv on and seen the second plane hit. It definatly wont be out of my mind for awhile, even though it didnt really effect me at all.
I really cant remember but it was really sad oh my its been about five years since i moved to Saskatoon I used to live in Estevan its my hometown 5hrs south of Saskatoon by the US border man was i really sad that day didnt want to leave all my family and friends it sucked my how time flies
i was at a customer jobsite having a great morning greeting and talking to my customers when everybody hit the breakroom like they were giving out free paychecks. with the t.v on i sat there first in disbelief, then with great sadness and then with huge anger! i live near Waco, Texas and that's all i am gonna say about that (so please don;t go there). my next stop was ft.hood in Killeen, Texas where there are many people of different cultures everywhere in one place. it was very hard to not keep from confronting particular people and expressing my feeling! innocent or not! i didn't get much done for the rest of the day! every 9/11 since then i call as many people i can and tell them i love them and God bless them and even when i don't call them as often as i should there always in my heart and prayers!
I give the same to wish to all! GOD BLESS YOU! TELL OTHERS!
People are affected in different ways! it's what they do after that makes a difference!

Reason: needed to be in there!
I was at the farm that sad day, I remember that the radio came on and said that a plane had hit one of the trade towers. i was barely awake and thought nothing of it. after i had done all the chores I went to go get ready for school. I walked in to the kitchen to find that the t.v. and the radio were on (and this was unusual at the time because my moms ex never liked them being on at the same time) right when i looked at the t.v. is when the first tower came down. I looked in disbelife for a moment as my mom made my lunch because i was in so much shock to see so many people dying then the bus came. we watched it all day in school for about a day and a half.
Woke up to hear the Vancouver radio (rock101) talking about it.....watched the TV before going to work. We were washing all the aircraft that day and the whole airport was very very quiet, ofcourse there were no flying.
Didn't get much work done those days.
All planes were grounded that day and it took weeks to get them back on schedule. My wife had to fly home from England about a week after, it was very iffy if she would be able to board her plane or not that day. The only way was she had to stand in line waiting to find out.
