You know tearing a set of roller rockers is very tedious. I pulled the center pivot and bearings out of one to clean all the possible metal flakes from my cam failure. I am so glad I chose to do it above a pan and not on the table like I was thinking. The needle bearings are tiny. Good news is that I have something to do over the weekend. I do have a question though. What do you use to lube the bearings and keep them in place? I was thinking vasiline, its petrolium based, just to keep them in place then hitting them with a lot of oil afterwards. Any suggestions?

Vasiline works about the best, you can also use wheel bearing grease but I prefer not to. If you have ever rebuilt a tranny and used that transmission assembly grease it's just vasiline with red dye in it and it desolves with the heat and oil without issues.

I was thinking the same thing since we use mil spec vasoline with our helicopter fuel cells at work. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to damage anything with it. Thanks monsterbaby.
