I have a early (7/98) 1999 F350 CC dually 7.3. Will changing or upgrading my PCM to a later 1999 or newer PCM help with performance, etc??

I also have an early 99. I put a 2000 pcm in mine. I have a superchips 1705 programmer also. I noticed a slight increase in power, but mostly noticed improved shifting and lockup characteristics. I mainly switched because I am going to get one of Jody's chips in the future. I got the pcm that he recommended. Later, Jamie

Call Jody and he'll tell you to change to a new PCM, the programs is better for the newer PCM. Have him flash a tune on the new PCM!

 

I bought a PCM from Jody with the base PMT1 which is the best shifting solution out there for an automatic. I had Jody burn it with his 80 HP Econo tune and that is what I ran for about a year until I could afford his chip. Best single thing I ever did to my truck. I think it was about $225 with his tune installed.
