We most never forget!!! I have spent the past 24 years in the Navy and have been deployed many times defending our country. But I can honestly say that the our fireman and police officers have the hardest jobs. My hat is off to you all. Thank you for a job well done.

I can`t forget cause I felt like my guts were torn out for months.
Just wanted to give my thanks to all the firemen and police on this site that serve our country, and also to all the men/women in the military that protect us everyday. Thanks and we will never forget the lives lost five years ago.
I know I will never forget. I was sitting right about where I am now putting my boots on after PT and saw the first news flash about a plane hitting the tower. I watched as another came in and knew that I would soon be gone overseas, and I was in Uzbekistan within weeks readying to do the Afghanistan thing.
It put my retirement on hold for a year as the military instituted a stop loss for me. I didn't mind because what I felt then has not changed one bit to this date. I know many Americans are getting tired of the war on terrorism. I will gaurantee you one thing, those animals (I'll skip the name) will never get tired as they have nothing else to live/die for.
While I'm a cop now, I just want everyone to thank a veteran or at least support our troops as they have it the toughest. It's hard being away from home/family for up to a year in a hostile land no matter what your job. They know, those animals will just keep trying. We must never forget that.
I hope that anyone that was starting to forget what happened on 9/11/01 watched the CBS 9/11 that aired last night. Not the "The Path to 9/11". If you didn't and get a chance to see it in the future, I urge you to do so. Non-political, but was filmed by a brother of a fireman doing a documentary. You have all the emotions to go through from sorrow to anger. Who you need to thank today is all the troops that are putting their lives on the line. I served from 69-74 and am familiar with what they are going through. My hats are off to them. If they would have let an old fart like me back in, I'd be over there right now. Go up to them and thank them, or if your in an eating establishment, buy their meal. God watch over them....
You guys are all so great. we are so lucky to have you around as members. i was in 7th grade when this happened, however i remember it clear as day. i wont forget that day for the rest of my life.
