Is everybody on vacation? Out working on your trucks? I hope you guys aren't slacking. There is a show in upstate NY right off the I-90 (Thruway) near Canastota. The date is 9/9. A few of us are trying to meet up there. Anybody here interested in going?

Where is everybody?

Well, it is just too humid and hot for me. We just finished up getting both of our girls into their college dorms; the semester starts on Monday. Want to guess where the money goes now?
I just got a flyer in today's mail for the first car and truck show this fall and it isn't until mid-October!

Ranger, are you going to the Dash to the Dells F100 show next month? Probably less than 2 hours away from you. Go to their website through the FTE page to download a flyer or to see photos of last year's event.

Where is everybody?

I might as well sound off.

1966 ford-f-250 [rusty bed] [rusty frost turquoise]
Tacoma, WA
[aquired from my late father's estate]
352 v8
two saddle tanks held on with coat angers
Lost the rear seat vinyl and foam
bottom seat withering away

Project:

#1 Cosmetic. Remove external rust from cab. Mild body work. Apply paint. {decided on Metalic Forest Green Perl from duplicolor) Restore dash, replace the hard vinel with dip it for the time being. Glueing in old HD platters to cover up minor door rust holes, and small ammounts of bondo.

#2 Bed, replace it with something that has no holes, pound out dents. Paint.

#3: Get new door rubber. (lower priority, as the paint is far more important then door rubber.

#4: Not sure, be pretty happy once the paint and bed are done. will probally ignore it for 6 months after that.

Goal:

The object is to have a fuctional truck. Needs a tune-up mechancily, but otherwise 100% operational.

Matt I am about 70 min from HP right up I-85. Will you be driving the truck in? There is a nice little cruse in there every thursday night, sorry that you will miss that. We lined up 9 Ford trucks from out NC Ford Truck Owners group there one night. We have pictures of that on our Yahoo club site.

I'd love to meet you and maybe drive down to Lexington for some of their famous BBQ. I suspect I can get some of the guys in the area to show up and we can talk trucks, and eat BBQ till we hurt. he he
