1986 F-150, Issues running-Electrical??

my truck starts stuttering and cuts off after about running for 5 minutes. Once it does this 1/2 a dozen times, the problem goes away. I can pull over let it "rest" for 20 seconds and the problem will go away. It does this every single time I use it. Used to think it was distributor related but not anymore. Not sure why????? Any ideas?

It also has trouble saying on idle too. Help if possible.

Have you done anything to it lately? Can you check the trouble codes? If ya don't know how go to www.fordfuelinjection.com, that'll tell you how to do that To me, it sounds like something's getting hot and isn't liking it. Coil possibly, TFI module, Ignition Control or maybe EEC is giving up the ghost.
