You can also check out Summit. They have amber LED lights that can go along your running boards or just under your doors. I think they call them Screamer Lights. I've got a pair that I will be installing in the not too distant future under my front doors. If I like them, I'm going to get a second pair to mount under my rear doors.

APR-520 is the Summit part number if you're interested. They have three different lengths. This is the shorter length.

personally i think the truck looks better at night if the light under the tailgate is a marker light (like the dually's have)
we already have a extra brake light on the cab

The strip lights are pretty cool but I like the individual lights a bit better.

You can see what I've done on my truck in the link in my sig.

I have the Line of Fire strip LED's under my tailgate. They are an attention getter. Have been walked up to at red lights from guys behind me wanting to know where to get them.

The lights look good countermaker. I have DOT reflective tape along that lip on mine. Real refelctive at night!! I've been looking at that running board lip too. There is like a one inch space that I would like to put something there for side safety. Those are good links too. I will check out what they have. Let us know what you decide on.
